Know the signs because victims are often too afraid to speak up. And most times when they do, they get attacked by those who choose to defend and enable the person who violated/abused them. Victims are not only traumatized when enduring abuse at the hands of someone they love…it’s often followed by being tormented, belittled, ridiculed and accused of lying from outsiders. As a result of speaking out and them wanting to silence the truth. BUT we must continue to tell our story.
